Police in Newark are on the search for two violent armed robbery suspects that targeted a liquor store located in the 200 block of Orange Street on Saturday evening.

A surveillance video showed the men appearing to be in total control of the scene when they forced their way inside the establishment a little after 9 p.m. where one of the men immediately jumped over the counter, while the other held a customer and an employee to the floor at gunpoint.

According to store management, the suspect that jumped behind the counter, violently shouted orders while pointing a gun at several employees that were standing nearby. "He kept saying give me more money, give me more money or you all will die", management said.

After emptying two registers of cash, the suspect pointed the weapon at one of the employees and fired a round in his direction, striking a window according to management.

The men are only described as a white male who was wearing a army camouflage outfit with a bandana or scarf around his face and a black male who was wearing dark clothing.

Both men are wanted for at least a half dozen commercial robberies around Essex County authorities said.

"I have been here for about 15 years and nothing has ever happened like this before. Our store supports the community and the children every year", management said.

No one was physically injured in the incident.
