An early morning fight at the Parsippany Inn, sent a man to the hospital after being stabbed.
According to Parsippany police, officers responded to the inn located on Route 10 to investigate a report of an active fight shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Arriving officers, found 47-year-old William Cole, of Morris Plains, outside suffering facial injuries and Victor Columbo, 37, of Parsippany, inside the building with a stab wound to the abdominal area.
Both men were taken into custody and transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
Investigation revealed that during an argument between the two men, Cole used a knife to stab Columbo, while Columbo physically injured Cole's face using his hands.
Columbo was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. His bail was set at $35,000, according to police.
Cole was charged with aggravated assault causing injury with a weapon, possession of a weapon with a purpose to use it unlawfully against the person or property of another and unlawful possession of a weapon, police said. His bail was set at $50,000.
Both men are being held at the Morris County jail.
