Troopers and detectives from Perryville Station have charged Milton Whitlock, 62, of Asbury, and Kevin Huber, 45, of Easton, P.A., in connection to 30 car burglaries that occurred in Hunterdon County over the past two months.
During the months of August and September, Perryville troopers responded to multiple vehicle burglaries in several residential communities in Bethlehem and Union Townships.
Detectives say that the suspects would enter unlocked vehicles and steal currency, electronics, and anything else of value. In instances where items of value were found to be in plain view, the suspects would break a window to gain access.
Through various investigative means, detectives were able to develop Milton Whitlock and Kevin Huber as suspects.
On September 25, detectives executed a search warrant at Whitlock’s Asbury home. As a result of the search, detectives seized heroin and items consistent with numerous car burglaries. Later that day, Whitlock was arrested in Pennsylvania by Easton Police as a result of an arrest warrant issued by troopers.
On October 6, Perryville detectives, the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit, and Easton Police Department Vice squad located Kevin Huber on Butler Street in Easton where he was taken into custody.
Whitlock and Huber were charged with burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary, and receiving stolen property.
Whitlock received an additional charge of possession of heroin. He was extradited from Northampton County Jail and lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $35,000 full cash bail.
Huber was lodged at the Northampton County Jail where he is awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
His bail was also set at $35,000 full cash.
This case will be prosecuted by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s office.
