A late night armed robbery of a liquor storer in the city has authorities in Hillside searching for suspects.
Several police units rushed to the 1400 block of North Broad Street on reports of an armed robbery at gunpoint that happened shortly before 10 p.m.
According to store employees, at around 9:35 p.m., two black males rushed into the establishment wearing masks and armed with weapons when they announced the robbery and immediately ordered cash from the register.
After reportedly taking a little under $1000 in cash, the suspect sprinted out of the business, jumping into a waiting vehicle described as a dark colored pickup truck with an extended cab where the vehicle was last seen heading southbound on North Broad Street.
There were no injuries reported.
The Hillside Police Department are investigating the incident.
