A violent early morning stabbing that happened in the city's East Ward has police investigating.
Cops responded to reports of a stabbing that happened in the 100 block of Thomas Street at around 7a.m.
Arriving units found a male victim around the age of 25-years-old suffering a serious stab wound to the abdomen.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital where his injuries were not immediately reported to be life threatening.
Police are searching for a black male suspect observed leaving the area in a dark colored GMC Envoy SUV immediately after the stabbing.
Police searched the area for a second victim but it is not known if anyone was found.
