Morris County Authorities are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and left in critical condition early this morning.
The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on the northbound side of NJ Rt. 15 when first responders were called to the scene on reports of a person that was laying in the roadway unconscious.
Police and EMS arrived to the scene to find the victim unconscious and unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
An accident investigation team canvassed a portion of the highway for clues into a possible description of the vehicle.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
