An investigation is underway into a police involved shooting that happened in the city a short time ago.
Police apprehended a male suspect in the area of Thomas Street and Brunswick Street shortly before 9 p.m.
Details are developing into what provoked one of the officers to fire a shot at the suspect near Lincoln Park and Clinton Ave. after a brief foot pursuit. One other suspect fled the scene on foot and is currently at-large.
There were no reports of injuries but officers reportedly located a weapon nearby.
Expect traffic detours as there is an active crime scene underway.
