An aircraft reported missing Tuesday night was discovered this afternoon near a wooded area.
The single engine aircraft departed at 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 8. but wasn't until this morning that it was reported missing.
Bedminster police, assisted by the New Jersey State Police and NorthStar, initiated a search around 9 a.m. But plane was not located till approximately 12:45 p.m. at the Somerset County Airport, the FAA announced.
Although FAA hasn't confirmed the number of people on the plane or their identities.
The plane was reportedly at the end of the runway crashed in trees.
A 62-year-old Chester Township man was killed in the crash.
