A late night fatal shooting in Newark has authorities investigating.
Police responded to the single digit block of Rowley Street near 13th Street at around 11 p.m. where they found a male victim unconscious and unresponsive suffering an apparent gunshot wound at that location.
The man (who was reported to be around the age of 40-years-old was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the shooting.
There were no reports of arrests made.
