Yesterday members of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU), Stafford Police and Little Egg Harbor Township Police Departments arrested and charged Issat Farat (aka Joseph) Yusif , 84, of Little Egg Harbor with 3rd degree possession of Explicit Images of Minors.
The arrest is the result of an investigation by Stafford Township Police Patrolman Joseph Luna and Detective Drew Smith, with assistance from OCPO HTCU and Little Egg Harbor Police Department, into the alleged possession of Explicit Images of Minors by Yusif.
The partnering agencies executed a search warrant at the Kansas Road residence of Yusif in Little Egg Harbor Township yesterday (9/2) in continuance of the investigation.
A forensic preview by OCPO HTCU of a computer seized within the residence discovered several hundred images of adults engaged in sexual acts with pre-pubescent children. HTCU seized several additional items from the residence pending further examination.
Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Hillary Bryce approved the charge of 3rd degree Possession of Explicit Images of Minors signed by Patrolman Luna based on the recovered evidence.
Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Damien Murray at $50,000 no 10%. Yusif was transported to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of posting bail.
