An investigation is underway this morning into an armed carjacking that happened overnight in Newark.
Cops responded to the area on of North 7th Street and 7th Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. where they arrived to find the victim who reported to them that two black males who were armed with a gun took a 2003 Volkswagen Passat a short time before police arrived.
The vehicle has Nj license plate numbers "U39-FCG".
There were no injuries reported.
