Police: Men Wanted for the Murder of Jersey City Teen Armed, Dangerous

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced today that two more people have been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old high school student killed near his Jersey City home.

Authorities issued arrest warrants for 21-year-old Marquis Nicken and 18-year-old Dwayne Powell, who are both wanted for the July 22 murder of Ronald Witherspoon Jr.

Both men have been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to officials, three others - Naji McDuffy, 24, Darius Evans Emanuel, 21, and Justin M. Nesmith, 24 - were arrested and charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Anyone with information on either men is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit at 201-915-1345.

Authorities cautioned that under no circumstances should anyone approached them because they are considered armed and dangerous.
