Gunfire erupted in the 1300 block of Washington Ave. at around 10 p.m. sending heavy police presence to the scene where one person was found struck by gunfire.
Police responded to the area after receiving several calls to 911 alerting of a shooting with a person down at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey Shore Medical Center suffering a gunshot wound to the back. The victim's injuries were reported as critical but stable as of 2:30 a.m.
There were no arrest immediately reported.
