Police in Newark arrested one person after a weapon was recovered in Newark's West Ward.
Suspicious activities in the area of Maybaum Avenue and Tremont Ave. brought police to the scene where they located suspect possessing a weapon.
The suspect was immediately placed in custody.
There were no injuries reported.
