An investigation is under way into a late night armed carjacking turned shooting that left a woman in critical condition this morning.
Police responded to the 100 block Riverside Drive near Chester Ave. shortly before midnight on reports of shots fired that rang out in the area.
Upon arrival to the scene, units found a female victim laying on the ground, shot multiple times to the torso and once to the head according to reports.
The woman (who is reported to be around 32-years-old) was rushed to University Hospital and listed in critical condition as of 3:30 a.m.
Police are looking for the suspects who took the woman's 4-door silver BMW from that location. The vehicle reportedly has Florida license plates.
The suspects are still on the loose.
