An investigation is underway into the recovery of weapons in the city overnight.
One person was placed in custody after police recovered a weapon on Warren Street and Norfolk Street shortly before 12:30 a.m.
In a separate incident, officers from the Essex County Sheriff's Department recovered a weapon on Park Ave. and Highland Ave. at around 8:30 p.m. after a pursuit of a suspect had a gun tossed into the driveway of a home in the area.
There was an arrest made.
