A three alarm fire in Jersey City this afternoon sent a grandmother and grandchild to the hospital with minor injuries. Crews responded to a residential building on Dales Avenue for a fast moving fire sometime around 3 p.m. Residents on the third floor quickly created a rope out of sheets after they saw the smoke filled the stairs. Jamille Paul 31, his mother, Helene Paul, an infant escaped and two dogs all escaped fire. Upon arrival firefighters transported the grandmother and grandchild to the hospital with minor injuries. The fire remains under investigation.
