Carjacking in Newark has Police Searching for Suspects

A vehicle carjacked in Newark early this morning has police searching for suspects. 

Police responded to the 60's block of Rose Terrace shortly before 4:30 a.m. on reports of a carjacking in progress.

Upon arrival, police began a search for the suspects that took a black 2010 Maxima with a reported NJ license plate number "P71-FLX". 

The suspects were described as two black males armed with a handgun. 

There were no injuries reported. 

UPDATE 6:17 A.M. In a another carjacking, (possibly unrelated) police responded to reports of a carjacking that happened in the single digit block of Waydell Street that happened at around 6 a.m. 

The suspects reportedly forced the driver from the vehicle by brutal physical assault.  

The carjacked vehicle is a grey 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup with a reported NJ license plate number "J45-CRT". The suspects were only described as two black males who were accompanied by a small grey car and a Jeep.
