An early morning fire in Bayonne left five injured including two fatalities, according to authorities.
Crews responded to a three-storey multi-family home on East 21st Street in Bayonne sometime around 3:45 a.m., where fire crews encountered a fast moving fire that had as many as five people on the second floor.
According to officials, three of the five trapped individuals were found unconscious.
Unfortunately, two victims, a man and woman in their 60s, were killed.
The remaining three injured, were transported to Jersey City Medical Center hospital with unknown injuries.
A total of nineteen people lived inside the multi-family home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
