First responders were called to the scene of a head-on collision Wednesday afternoon on Jersey Avenue where multiple occupants were entrapped.
Police responded to a head-on collision on Jersey Avenue in front of the Motion Credit Union, located at 1380 Jersey Avenue sometime around 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found multiple occupants trapped requiring Rescue Services. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2015 Mercedes Benz, operated by Paul Mancuso, of Glen Rock, was traveling north on Jersey Avenue, and for reasons unknown at this time, crossed over the double yellow lines and struck a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander operated by Regina Bagala, 58, of Monmouth Junction. Both Bagala and Miller were extricated from their vehicle by North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad and North Brunswick Fire Department.
Mancuso, Bagala and Bagala’s passenger, Marie Miller, of East Brunswick were all transported to the Trauma Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. According to police, Bagala is listed in critical and unstable condition.
Jersey Avenue was closed between Huron and How Lane for approximately two hours.
