Authorities in Newark are on the search for two black males who were last seen wearing dark clothing when they committed an armed carjacking a short time ago.
The suspects reportedly approached the victim who was getting in a vehicle in the 200 block of Avon Avenue and asked for the time. When the victim attempted to look at a time piece, the suspects beat the victim in the head with a weapon then took the keys and the vehicle.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
We will update this as soon as we get a description of the vehicle and a license plate number.
UPDATE 8:36 P.M. The vehicle is a black 2015 Chevy Suburban. This is a rental from Enterprise Rental Car.
UPDATE 8:55 P.M. There is a reported license plate number of "E37-FAD"
