A two-car crash that involved a police cruiser that happened on Washington Ave. and Mill Street had a police officer suffer non-life threatening injuries this evening.
There are little details known on the cause of the crash but an officer was seen laying on the sidewalk at that location after being pulled out of the vehicle by First Responders.
The officer was reportedly responding to a possible carjacking when his vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersection. The officer was transported to University Hospital in Newark as a precaution.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
