Struck in the head multiple times with an object, EMS transported a victim of a reported robbery turned assault to University Hospital suffering serious injuries overnight.
Police were called to the area on Smith Street and Springfield Ave. at around 12:30 a.m. where they found the victim bleeding from the head at that location.
The victim's injuries were reported as serious.
There were no arrest reported.
