Authorities are investigating an accident that killed a 16-year-old Lodi High School student last night on Route 46.
Police responded to Route 46 shortly after 9 p.m., where they found that a boy had been struck by a Volkswagen heading eastbound.
Initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian - a 16-year-old high school student - was struck and killed after he tried to jump the median.
The driver, a 19-year-old borough student, remained at the scene and has not been issued any summonses, according to police.
Incident remains under investigation at this time.
