An early morning 4-alarm fire tore through three home leaving as many as 28 displaced and four injured.
Crews responded to 477 Ellison Street - a two-and-a-half story home - shortly before 4 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters quickly assisted as residents frantically made their way out of the home.
According to reports, four people were injured including a mother and her two children that allegedly jumped from a window to escape the blaze.
All three were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson with non-life threatening injuries. A fourth victim was also transported for smoke inhalation.
The fire was placed under control in a little over two hours with the assistance of crews from Passaic and Bergen Counties.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and The Paterson Fire Department are investigating the cause.
A total of three homes suffered damages including 477, 475 and 479.
