Authorities Investigate Two Carjackings in Newark

Police are investigating two carjackings that  happened in the city within minutes apart. 

A report of a carjacking that took place at the McDonalds on West Market Street shortly before 10 p.m. has police looking for two  black males who took a blue Mercedes ML430 reportedly at gunpoint.

The vehicle has  NJ license plates and was last seen heading westbound on Central Ave. 

At around 10:15 p.m. on South Orange Ave. and Richelieu Terrace, two black males reportedly pointed weapons at the driver  of a 2001 Audi A6, ordering the victim out the car.

The vehicle has NJ license plate number "Y85-FGW". The vehicle was last seen heading south on Richelieu. 

There were no reported injuries. 

UPDATE Richelieu Incident 1:39 a.m. Police are looking for two black males in connection to this carjacking. One of the suspects entered the vehicle's passenger seat and forced the victim's head down. The second suspect entered the vehicle's driver side and robbed the victim before forcing the driver out of the vehicle. The suspects then took the vehicle.
