Four Essex County Residents Indicted for Murder of Newark Mother

Four people facing murder and related charges for the fatal shooting of a Newark woman during a cell phone robbery have been indicted.

Massai Laboo, 22, and Lauren Whatley, 25, both of Irvington, Mumit Marrow, 21, of Newark, and Perry Howard, 28, of Bloomfield were indicted on May 29 in connection with the shooting of 22-year-old Ana Satian.

Arraignment is scheduled for June 23 before Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler.

Bail for Marrow, Laboo and Whatley who are currently being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility was set at $750,000 each. 

Howard's bail was set at $1 million and is also being held at county jail.

All four defendants have been charged with murder, felony murder and robbery and weapons offenses.
