Suspect Wanted for Stealing Package in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the female suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Monday, April 21.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 10:36 a.m., the victim received a notification that the package she had ordered was delivered to a residence in the 100 block of Norwood Street.

According to Newark officials, at approximately 10:42 a.m., the Ring doorbell camera at the residence depicted a female suspect picking up the package and placing it inside a bag before fleeing southbound on Norwood Street.

The package contained perfume, Newark Police stated.

Newark authorities say detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as African American, with a small build.

She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with red lettering, a black jacket, gray sweatpants, and white sandals, according to Newark officials.
