Police Investigate Early Morning Gunfire That Damaged Home, Car in Trenton

Authorities in Trenton are investigating a shots fired incident that caused property damage but no injuries early Monday morning in the city’s Ohio Avenue neighborhood.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. near 608 Ohio Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of gunfire. 

Upon arrival, they discovered multiple shell casings scattered across the scene.

Investigators also located an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck by bullets. During a further search of the area, police found a nearby home that had sustained damage from stray gunfire. 

Fortunately, no one inside the residence was injured.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived and remains at large. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as the investigation continues.
