A man was killed and another person seriously injured after being struck by a bus early Sunday morning following a large party and reported fight.
County authorities confirmed they are investigating the incident, which occurred around 12:15 a.m. near 475 Springfield Avenue and Holland Street.
Witnesses told RLS Media that police had been dispatched to the area for reports of a large gathering when they learned that two people had been struck by a bus.

Emergency medical services and fire crews were immediately called to the scene.
When first responders arrived, they found one man pinned beneath the bus and another person suffering from severe leg injuries.
The man trapped under the bus was extricated and given CPR but was later pronounced dead.
He was identified as Mr. Koran Baker, a well-known entertainer who frequently performed as a dancer at parties.

According to witnesses, the incident followed a fight that broke out inside the "White Lies" party before spilling outside.
However, officials have not confirmed whether Baker and the other injured individual were involved in the altercation or attempting to intervene.
Investigators have not disclosed whether the event was properly permitted.
Springfield Avenue was closed off as Essex County Prosecutor’s Office detectives conducted their investigation, which remains active and ongoing.
