Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a refreshing break from winter’s grip, as temperatures climb well above freezing this Tuesday morning.
After last week’s brutal cold, the warmer air is a welcome change for residents heading out early.
Good morning! If you're stepping outside for work, school, or errands, you’ll still want to grab a coat, but today will feel much milder.
A taste of spring continues throughout the day, with temperatures expected to rise into the mid-50s.

Skies are currently partly to mostly cloudy, and while there's a slight chance of rain later, any precipitation is expected to be minimal.
According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast includes a 30% chance of showers after 3 p.m., with increasing clouds and a high near 55. A southwest wind will range from 5 to 9 mph.
Tonight, there's a 20% chance of showers before 9 p.m., followed by partly cloudy skies and a low around 37.
Enjoy the mild weather, in New Jersey!
