Armed Robbery Suspects Lead Newark Police on Early Morning Pursuit

Police in Newark engaged in a high-speed chase overnight after spotting a vehicle linked to an armed robbery in Irvington Township. 

The suspects, who were reportedly armed with a gun, remain at large.

Authorities issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert for a white Range Rover with New Jersey license plate P25-MLC, which was last seen heading into Newark following an armed robbery.

Newark officers spotted the vehicle on Frelinghuysen Avenue and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver ignored lights and sirens, leading officers on a pursuit into Elizabeth before circling back into Newark.

The chase continued through streets near the NJIT campus, with the vehicle last seen near Warren and Norfolk Streets. 

NJIT police assisted in the pursuit, but the suspects managed to evade capture.

Despite the dangerous situation, no injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet released descriptions of the suspects.

The investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
