Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Wednesday, February 5, Majestic Moody, 22, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty before the Honorable Pamela D'Arcy, J.S.C.

ACPO officials stated that the charges consisted of one count of second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS for a recommended seven-year New Jersey State Prison sentence, one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun for a concurrent five-year State Prison sentence where he must serve one year before being eligible for parole, one count of third-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS for a concurrent five year State Prison sentence, and one count of third-degree Burglary for a concurrent three year State Prison sentence.
After the plea, the defendant’s request to be released pending sentencing was denied by the Court, ACPO authorities stated. On December 2, 2021, officers of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to an activated burglar alarm at a business on Ocean Heights Ave.
Surveillance depicted three suspects gaining entry to the business, then closing to the public, by breaking the glass of the front door, Egg Harbor Township Police said.
ACPO officials said that the suspects carried away the cash register and drove away. Upon further investigation, the defendant was identified as one of the individuals who committed the burglary.
The defendant was issued a summons and released with a future court date, Atlantic County officials said.
According to Police, on June 8, 2023, officers of the Atlantic City Police Department attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a speeding automobile. After parking the vehicle, the driver, Majestic Moody, exited and fled on foot.
After a foot pursuit, he was apprehended and found to be in possession of a distribution amount of CDS concealed on his person, as well as various denominations of U.S. currency, Atlantic City Police say.
ACPO officials stated that based on these facts, police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and located an unregistered handgun underneath the driver’s seat.
The resulting charges were placed on a warrant, and the defendant was released at his detention hearing over the State’s objection, according to Atlantic County officials. Subsequently, on July 23, 2024, officers of the Atlantic City Police Department observed the defendant conducting hand-to-hand drug transactions in public.

Officers approached the defendant, placed him under arrest, and located a distribution amount of CDS concealed on his person, as well as various denominations of U.S. currency, Atlantic City Police said.
Atlantic County officials said the defendant is scheduled for sentencing on March 20, 2025.
