Authorities in Passaic County announced that on February 6, at approximately 8:26 p.m., the Clifton Fire Department and Clifton Police Department responded to 301 Union Avenue in Clifton, on a report of a working fire.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes stated that one individual, Michael Lazor, 63 years old from Clifton, sustained injuries from the fire.
He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and pronounced deceased, according to PCPO officials.
Passaic County authorities stated the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
This investigation is active and ongoing; more information will be released when it becomes available, PCPO officials say.
