Authorities in Monmouth County are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station that took place late Tuesday night.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 10:50 p.m., police were dispatched to 373 Monmouth Road following reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who recounted the terrifying encounter.
A black male suspect, dressed in a black hoodie and black pants, entered the gas station wielding a knife and demanded cash.
Employees complied, handing over approximately $3,000 before the suspect fled the scene.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in the incident. The suspect remains at large as law enforcement officials continue their investigation.
