A lucky ticket sold in Ocean County has claimed the first Pick-6 jackpot of 2025, netting a life-changing $32 million prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Quick Mart, located at 665 Bennetts Mills Road in Jackson. As a reward for selling the ticket, the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus.
“This is the first Pick-6 jackpot of the year—a truly life-changing moment,” said James Carey, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery. “When we say, ‘Anything can happen in Jersey,’ this is exactly what we mean!”
The winning numbers for the Monday, January 20 drawing were 04, 11, 12, 15, 27, and 39. The cash value of the jackpot is estimated at $14.4 million.
The jackpot will now reset to $2 million for the next drawing, scheduled for Thursday, January 23.
The last time a Pick-6 prize approached this amount was in March 2024, when players in Morris and Monmouth counties shared a $30 million jackpot.
The record Pick-6 prize remains $48.9 million, won in Clifton, Passaic County, in 2001.
The winning streak leading up to this $32 million jackpot began in June 2024 after a $3 million prize was claimed in Mount Laurel.
Over 63 consecutive drawings, more than one million players won $6.34 million in non-jackpot prizes, while 261 Double Play participants took home an additional $2.16 million.
Retailers who participated earned an estimated $2.36 million in commissions, and the state of New Jersey collected around $18.9 million in lottery-related revenue.
When asked if the winner had come forward, Carey noted, “We have not heard from the winner yet. However, under New Jersey law, they can remain anonymous indefinitely.”
Quick Mart owners Mital Prajpati and Arvind Patel expressed their excitement over the $10,000 bonus and revealed plans to donate a portion of their proceeds to a local food bank. “We’re thrilled for the winner and proud to give back to our community,” said Prajpati. Lottery officials encourage all players to check their tickets and claim prizes responsibly.
