Officials in Burlington County are looking into the cause of a wreck that claimed the life of a woman Friday morning. Police say a 41-year-old Camden woman lost her life in a motor vehicle collision on Florence-Columbus Road. The collision was reported at approximately 5:43 a.m., prompting a response from the Florence Township Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS.
Upon arrival, first responders determined that the pedestrian showed no signs of life.
The Florence Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and Detective Bureau were immediately dispatched to investigate the scene.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Medical Examiner's Office also joined the investigation, while the New Jersey State Police, New Jersey Department of Transportation, and Burlington County Fire Police provided additional assistance for road closures.
