Authorities in Paterson are investigating a shooting incident that left one person injured late Wednesday night.
According to police, a ShotSpotter device detected approximately 10 rounds of gunfire near 441 East 26th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Officers responding to the scene discovered nearly a dozen shell casings and a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.
Officials said the injured individual was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been reported. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
