Authorities in Hudson County announced that on Monday, January 13, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a homicide that occurred in North Bergen on Monday, December 9, 2024.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez stated that Henry Delgado, of North Bergen, is charged with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon, Disturbing/Desecrating Human Remains, and Hindering.
He was arrested at a residence in Union City and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance, Hudson County officials said.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, officials say, the North Bergen Police Department was notified of an unresponsive male inside a second-floor residence at 9028 Palisade Plaza.
Responding officers located the lifeless body of a male, later identified as Juan Moyet, 48, of North Bergen, Hudson County officials said.
North Bergen Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3:50 p.m.
The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded and determined the victim suffered an apparent head injury, Hudson County authorities stated.
According to Hudson County officials, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a post-mortem exam was conducted that determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound to the Head and the Manner to be Homicide.
