Bestway Sandwiches Inc., a Valencia, California-based company, has recalled approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquitos due to potential contamination with metal, according to information released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).The affected product, sold under the label “CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS,” comes in 20-ounce cartons with "Best By" dates of 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 printed on the bottom panel.
The packaging also displays the establishment number “EST. P-40327.” These items were distributed to ALDI grocery stores nationwide.
The issue was identified after the company received a consumer complaint about finding metal in the product.
Another consumer reported a dental injury linked to the taquitos.
No additional injuries or illnesses have been reported, but consumers are urged not to eat the product and to contact a healthcare provider if they have concerns.
Customers are advised to check their freezers for the recalled taquitos and either discard them or return them to the store for a refund.
