Atlantic City Man Sentenced for Multiple Offenses Including Shoplifting

Authorities in Atlantic County announced that Francisco Corriano, 34, of Atlantic City, was sentenced to a five-year term in New Jersey State Prison before the Honorable Bernard E. DeLury, Jr., P.J.Cr., and pleaded guilty to five cases involving criminal activity throughout Atlantic County.

Atlantic County officials stated that from November 2023 until September 2024, Mr. Corriano had been arrested for a variety of shoplifting, narcotics, and burglary offenses.AdCounty authorities said that on November 6, 2023, Corriano was arrested for shoplifting in Egg Harbor Township. On this date, officers from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to Boscov’s for a reported shoplifting.

Upon arrival, law enforcement apprehended the subject, who was later identified as Corriano, and fled from the scene when arrested, officials say. 

According to Atlantic City officials, on December 12, 2023, Corriano was arrested in Atlantic City for the distribution of cocaine. At approximately 10:40 a.m., officers from the Atlantic City Police Department observed a drug transaction taking place in the area of South Texas Avenue. Corriano was observed distributing cocaine to another individual.

As law enforcement approached, officials said Corriano tried to flee but was quickly apprehended. 

Atlantic County authorities stated that on January 11, 2024, Corriano was arrested in Atlantic City for the distribution of heroin. At approximately 7:35 p.m., officers from the Atlantic City Police Department again observed a drug transaction taking place in the area of South Texas Avenue.

Corriano was observed distributing heroin to another individual and was subsequently placed into custody without incident.

Atlantic City officials said that on May 25, 2024, Corriano was arrested for burglary in Atlantic City. The day prior, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a suspect broke into Breathe Salt Spa, a business at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, and stole property belonging to that business, damaging additional items inside.

After the Atlantic City Police Department investigated, the suspect was identified as Corriano, who was subsequently arrested.

According to Atlantic County authorities, Corriano was arrested for burglary in Atlantic City on September 24, 2024.

Officers were dispatched to the FireWater Saloon at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, officials stated. Officers spoke to an employee, who indicated that an individual had entered their bar unlawfully, taken numerous bottles of alcohol, and damaged property belonging to the business.AdIn total, Atlantic City officials said, the business suffered over $1,000.00 in losses.

Officials stated that after the Atlantic City Police Department investigated, the suspect was identified as Corriano, who was subsequently arrested.
