Good morning and happy Monday!
My friends and family in the Newark and North Jersey region are waking up to unseasonably warm temperatures, starting the day at 54 degrees at 4:30 a.m.
It’s an overcast morning, but much of the earlier rain has passed through.
As we enter the final Monday of 2024, conditions are shaping up for a pleasant day, with the possibility of some sunshine breaking through later.
However, drivers should remain cautious during the early morning rush as ponding has been reported on major roadways, including the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will see cloudy skies through mid-morning, followed by gradual clearing and a high near 60 degrees.
By Monday night, skies will be mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to around 38 degrees.
Enjoy the day and take advantage of this mild weather as the year winds down in New Jersey!
