Firefighters across Monmouth County joined forces early Sunday morning to combat a fast-moving fire that damaged a commercial building in Tinton Falls.Emergency crews were dispatched to 766 Shrewsbury Avenue around 1:35 a.m. following multiple reports of flames at the location.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire pouring from the office building and immediately began stretching several hose lines to contain the blaze.
As the fire intensified and spread to the second floor, officials at the scene called for a second alarm, bringing in additional personnel to assist in the battle.
Despite the aggressive flames, crews managed to bring the fire under control in under an hour.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but no serious injuries have been reported.
Fire officials credited the quick response and coordinated effort from neighboring departments for preventing further damage to surrounding properties.
