Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the North Bergen Police Department are investigating the death of a man inside a residence on Palisade Plaza.Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, the North Bergen Police Department was notified of an unresponsive male inside a second-floor residence at 9028 Palisade Plaza, according to Hudson County officials.
North Bergen Police said that responding officers located the lifeless body of a male, later identified as Juan Moyet, 48, of North Bergen.
He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3:50 p.m., officials stated.
Hudson County authorities said that the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded and determined the victim suffered an apparent head injury.
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a post-mortem exam was conducted that determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound to the Head and the Manner to be Homicide, North Bergen Police said. This matter is being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the North Bergen Police Department, officials say.
No arrests have been made at this time.
