Mercer County law enforcement is investigating a Sunday morning shooting in Trenton that left two individuals injured.
The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. near North Olden Avenue and Dickinson Street. Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered one victim at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers immediately secured the area, searching for additional victims, evidence, and shell casings.
During the investigation, authorities learned that a second gunshot victim had been transported to the regional medical center by private vehicle.
As of 4:30 a.m., the injuries of both victims were not reported as severe. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to contact Trenton Police.
