Mountain Creek Resort, a popular destination for year-round mountain activities in the New York metro area, has announced its official opening for the 2024-2025 winter season.
According to Mountain Creek officials, the resort will welcome guests starting Saturday, December 7, marking one of its earliest winter openings in years.
Located just 47 miles from the George Washington Bridge, Mountain Creek provides convenient access for residents of New York, New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania seeking an exceptional mountain experience.
The resort spans four mountain peaks and offers over 167 acres of trails, nine lifts, and three terrain parks, catering to skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
Thanks to favorable early-season weather and a $5 million upgrade to its snowmaking system, the resort is well-prepared for the upcoming season.
Mountain Creek officials highlighted the installation of a fully automated snowmaking system, which has significantly enhanced their ability to produce high-quality snow across the mountain.
Lifts will operate from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on opening day, providing top-to-bottom terrain at both Vernon and South Peaks.
Guests can enjoy services such as equipment rentals, lessons, and dining options, ensuring a full-service experience on the slopes.
Evan Kovach, General Manager of Mountain Creek Resort, expressed enthusiasm for the early start.

Mountain Creek also offers flexible ticketing options for visitors. Guests can purchase a Triple Play Card for $139.99, valid for three visits, or opt for a season pass starting at $339.99.
