Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good morning! As we wind down the week, residents are waking up to a frigid 37 degrees on this Thursday morning, with wind chill making it feel like the teens in Newark.

Northern parts of New Jersey are even colder, adding to the winter chill.AdLate Wednesday night into early Thursday, snow showers and a mix of rain and snow swept through the region, with another round of light snow attempting to push eastward during the morning rush.

However, with temperatures remaining above freezing, significant accumulation is unlikely.

The real challenge for the day is the wind. According to the National Weather Service, gusts of 40-50 mph are expected across the region, creating blustery conditions despite a high near 40 degrees.

Snow showers are likely before noon, followed by partly sunny skies.

Tonight, winds will ease slightly, but temperatures will drop to around 28 degrees, with wind chill values making it feel between 20 and 25 degrees.

AdBundle up and prepare for a gusty day, New Jersey. Stay safe and enjoy your Thursday!
