Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit has arrested an East Orange man following a death investigation in Guttenberg.
According to Hudson County officials, on Saturday, November 23, shortly after 10 p.m., the Guttenberg Police Department was notified of two unresponsive males inside a residence at 209 71st Street.
The males – later identified as Justo Bory, 87, and Ricardo Bory, 58, both of Guttenberg – were pronounced dead at the scene, Guttenberg Police said.
During the initial response, officials say, the Guttenberg Police Department arrested Lamont Cole, 40, of East Orange, for interfering with the investigation.
Hudson County authorities stated that Cole has been detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility since the arrest. Post-mortem examinations were performed on both males.
Guttenberg Police said that on Monday, December 2, the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office issued a report pertaining to Justo Bory that determined the Cause of Death to be Compression of the Neck and the Manner to be Homicide.
Cole was arrested at the Hudson County Correctional Facility on Tuesday, December 3, and charged with one count of Murder, Hudson County officials said.
Officials say the post-mortem report pertaining to Ricardo Bory is pending.
This matter is being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Guttenberg Police Department.
