Burlington County authorities are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Willingboro on Monday night.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. near 4340 US-130. Responding officers found a severely injured individual suffering from a critical leg injury.
Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the unidentified person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Burlington County Fire Police Strike Team was called in to assist with the investigation.
The Department of Transportation temporarily closed the road as detectives worked to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
No additional injuries were reported. The investigation remains active, and officials have not yet released further details.
