Happy Cyber Monday, New Jersey!
Online shoppers and commuters are waking up to another frigid morning as cold temperatures grip the region to kick off the week.
It’s currently 31 degrees in Newark, and conditions are even colder in Sussex and Morris counties, where temperatures range between 16 and 21 degrees.
A brisk breeze will make it feel even chillier, with wind chill values between 20 and 30 degrees throughout the day.
The National Weather Service forecasts mostly sunny skies today, with a high near 40 degrees. Northwest winds at 5 to 7 mph will keep the air crisp.
Tonight will remain mostly clear, with lows dipping to around 27 degrees.
If you’re heading out, don’t forget your coat, hat, and scarf — they’ll be your best defense against the chill.
